Hey guys! About a week ago I headed out to Seattle to help my friend and Bachelorette alum, Desiree Hartsock with a nursery makeover. Des and I met almost two years ago collaborating for The Game of Love and then last September we met in person when I did her office makeover. We became fast friends and I was so excited when she and her husband Chris asked me to come back out and surprise them with a nursery makeover. I teamed up with Lowe’s to make it happen!
Last month US Weekly announced that Desiree & Chris are expecting a little boy, and he’s actually due in just a few weeks- could be any day now!

I love that Chris and Des really let me have creative control on our collaborations. They shared a few pins with me, but pretty much let me do my thing. I didn’t want to overly theme the nursery, but I’m solidly obsessed with Seattle and the entire Pacific Northwest, so I decided that would be the unifying theme in the space.
When I think of the PNW I think of tons of greenery, rich colors, craftsman homes, camping, simplicity, wood tones, clean design, and coffee… all the coffee.
Here’s the mood board we created for Desiree’s nursery
It’s not your traditional nursery vibe, but still feels cozy to me. I’ll be sharing the room reveal and all the amazing products I used from Lowe’s and ATG Stores as soon as the US Weekly online article goes live. We got bumped by Brangelina – is it weird that I’m slightly excited about that. I mean I can legitimately say oh, I had to change the date for Brad Pitt. Ha! It’s the little things people.
Huge Thanks to Desiree, Chris, and our makeover sponsor Lowe’s Home Improvement. Can’t wait to share the whole space with you! In the meantime, make sure you check out Season 1 of The Weekender- my new TV makeover series with Lowe’s.
