Hi Guys! Today is a super fun day for East Coast Creative! I’m sharing 12 Make-It-Yourself Holiday Gift Ideas with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on Live! with Kelly & Michael. Hopefully, you can watch the segment (9am EST), but even if you can’t, this is your lucky day… I’m sharing all 12 project tutorials so that you can give some fabulous handmade gifts that your friends and family will love! You can check out the other 11 projects HERE, but let’s chat about how printable art can make gift giving a breeze this holiday season!
If you’re not familiar with printables (as we call them in the blog world) you download a digital file and can print it as many times as you’d like! There are all kinds, both free and paid and today I’m hooking you up with a freebie that I designed with the help of my friend Kim of Manayunk Calligraphy.
You can download your free 8×10 digital file by CLICKING HERE, but I also want to show you some awesome ways that you can create Make-It-Yourself gifts from printables! Clipboard Display– An inexpensive clipboard can be dressed up with some fabric ribbon and faux greens. I picked up the clipboard, the ribbon and greens at JoAnn fabrics. Hot glue the ribbon to the clipboard and pop some faux greens into the clip Even without decorating the clipboard it looks awesome! Simple Frame- I printed a bunch of copies at a 5×7 size and popped them into simple frames from JoAnn. These are my “keep on hand” throughout the holiday go-t0 gifts. If we’re invited to a friend’s house or someone pops over, I have them all ready to go in a gift bag. Easy peasy, cute, and thoughtful. Cork Board Display– These cork tiles are sold as a 4 pack, so you can make four gifts for under $10! I added gold push pins, a bit of the same ribbon, and a little ornament. Wood Block Display- A stained piece of wood and a binder clip is all it takes to create this cutie! There you have it… 4 completely different ways to gift one single printable. I told you they were the best! Here’s the link again to the freebie Home for the Holidays print for you fine folks!
I’ve also designed a bunch of other holiday prints that you can check out HERE.
A huge thanks to Kim from Manayunk Calligraphy for helping me create these prints. I’ve actually decided that I’m going to take one of her new Modern Calligraphy Online Workshops to try and learn how to do it myself! I wrote all about it in this post- check it out and maybe you’ll want to join me in the class! So fun!
Make sure you check out the other 11 Make-It-Yourself gift ideas I’m sharing today!
