Hi Guys! Today is a super fun day for East Coast Creative! I’m sharing 12 Make-It-Yourself Holiday Gift Ideas with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on Live! with Kelly & Michael. Hopefully, you can watch the segment (9am EST), but even if you can’t, this is your lucky day… I’m sharing all 12 project tutorials so that you can give some fabulous handmade gifts that your friends and family will love! You can check out the other 11 projects HERE, but let’s doctor up some candles first…
This might be the easiest project I’ve ever done, but the impact really takes your candles from drab to fab in no time!
Here’s what you’ll need to make these metallic candles:
Materials: Candle Sticks | Metallic Spray Paint |
I did some typical sized pillar candles as well as a set of smaller menorah candles-they’re my favorite!
I warned you this was easy… just one step…
Take your candles outside and lightly spray paint the bottom end of each candle.
For the large pillars, I went up about 4 inches and for the smaller ones, I only sprayed about an inch. Spray a solid amount at the bottom, and more of a light mist towards the top to create an ombre look.
I used 3 metallic colors… a copper/rose gold, silver, and gold.
They’re simple and so pretty.
This menorah is gorgeous with the metallic colors
Wrap them up with some simple ribbon and your gift is complete.
How chic do these candles look! Even you self-proclaimed non-creatives out there can do this one!
