Hey there guys! I’m back from an insanely awesome vacation with my fam- we spent the week in Ocean City, New Jersey with my in-laws and brother and sister-in-law and their two kids.  It’s always a great time, and I did a little math and this is the 14th year I’ve been a part of this trip with the Mangin family.  I’m not sure how that’s possible since I’m still 25… umm right??  We had fun on the beach playing around with Instagram’s new Hyperlapse- basically you can make a simple video and speed it up, which instantly ups the cool factor.  I think it will be a fun tool to use for DIY tutorials, but for now, it’s just pure fun.  Here’s a little video we made our last morning on the beach.

Anyhow, it was the most perfect weather and I didn’t want all the fun to end, but now it’s back to reality.  My kids all start school today- 7th grade, 4th grade, 1st grade and Kindergarten.  Of course we couldn’t have gotten all the littles at the same school and because of student caps- Cal is at a different school than Kira and Kaden, so we have 4 kids at 3 different schools, but honestly that’s an improvement over last year when we were 4 at 4.  It was pure madness somedays and it’s a good thing my kids are good with their schedules, because I couldn’t have told you what day was library vs. art if you offered me a million bucks.  Mom of the year right here!

This pic was from 1st day of school last year.

XMAS MANGINS

I’ll share our first day pics from this year, later this week.

Today I’m really excited to share a simple project that’s right on trend, but I’m even more excited to let you know that I’ve started contributing for The Nest.

My first project is a DIY Hanging Herb Garden – and I’m teaching you how to do simple macrame without literally going insane, because all those knots can be kind of intense!!

Hop over there and check it out and let them know you wanna see even more EC2 projects on The Nest wink wink- thanks a million.  Okay, I’m off to take advantage of the 2.5 hours of kid-free time by working on the EC2 Apartment.  I’m in the home stretch and can’t wait to share it all with you guys!

Have an awesome Tuesday!
