Hey Guys!! I’m so glad to be back today with the details of our Craft Room Makeover! It’s been too long! Jess and I were in Salt Lake City last week for the SNAP blogger’s conference and then well… our blog crashed for about 24 hours (yeah that’s SO not cool!), but now we’re up and running! While we were in Utah we spoke about our journey from blogger to full-time TV designers and hosts and it was really neat to have to look back and really think through our journey so far. We loved speaking, but we probably loved all the prep work of looking back and seeing how goofy we were (okay, still are) and how excited we felt every step of the way!
As soon as we got our own DIY show, we knew we wanted to makeover a craft room. Amazingly, it took us almost 3 seasons before we got our hands on one, but I’m glad we waited for just the right one, because the results were awesome!
Here’s where this basement room started off when we arrived… there was nothing crafty-cool or inspiring about it! And that lighting… hello Office Space!! (Which BTW is a classic movie!)
The homeowner wanted light, bright, girly, kinda shabby-chic, and a touch modern. Well, I can do modern and bright, but if you know me, I’m SO not girly- Jess is more girly, but overall not-so-much. We knew we’d have to channel our inner Pinkalicious to pull this makeover off. We dug deep, and in the end, man, oh, man we loved this space!! The hexagon quilt wall… I die!
Tomorrow we’ll start with the tutorials for each of the big projects in the room, but before that you definitely need to watch this episode!
You can watch the entire episode online!

We haven’t quite decided which project tutorial to share first, so if there’s one you’re dying to see, leave a comment and let us know!!
Happy Tuesday Guys!!
The quilt accent wall
Thanks for your input Teresa, we think the accent wall is going to be a popular one!
I watched this episode today on the LWN out of Detroit (I live in Canada!) – Great projects and I LOVED the idea of using scrapbook paper to make the quilt wall! So inspiring!
So happy to hear from fans in Canada! Thanks for watching and for stopping by our blog Cheryl, we’re so glad you loved this episode!
PEG BOARD! I’m obsessed
Aren’t they so useful, and you can really dress them up for your space too! Thanks for helping us and leaving your input Carissa!
Wow, that is one amazing craft room! I love the peg board storage and I think I have to make one of those wall fabric organizers for my room…it looks so beautiful! So much inspiration in that video…I don’t know what I love the best. I can’t get LWN up here so I have to watch your shows online…when I remember.
Debbie 🙂
