Game On friends!  It’s time to enter your favorite DIY project from 2013-2014 for a chance to be one of the 12 contestants in the 2014 Season of Creating with the Stars.  This is where it all begins and where you get to see what insane talent there is out in blogland. Prepare to be blown away!

As if you could have possibly forgotten, let me remind you about our fabulous group of Blog Stars for this year.  Each of our 12 contestants will be paired with one of these awesome bloggers as a mentor throughout the competition.  Some of these stars are in it to win it!

Now, a few “rules” to remember before linking up!

1- You can only link up one project as your entry. No multiple entries please.

2- Your project has to be from 2013 or 2014. We’re sure you’ve done some awesome things way back when, but those won’t count as an entry.

3- Follow East Coast Creative on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram so that you’re kept up to date with all our CWTS announcements and updates (sorry to be a pain, but this one is a requirement- we’ve made it nice and easy for ya though!)

5- Enter your project by March 12, 2014 at 11:59pm EST- We’re East Coast girls, so don’t don’t forget to adjust if you’re in a different time zone!
  That’s it! Easy Peasy Right?!?

Before we get to linking… we’ve gotta thank our amazing group of CWTS2014 Sponsors!  Without these companies, this competition wouldn’t happen!  Show them some blogger love and visit our CWTS Sponsor Page.  These companies love bloggers and are great to work with!  We truly appreciate each one of them!   CWTS LOGO 2014 Sponsors Final

  2. I can’t even imagine the planning that went in to all this Monica and Jess! So excited I can finally enter – had great fun following along and voting last year. I follow you on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest but I’m not on Twitter – hope that’s ok?

  3. Jess says:

Thanks for hosting such a fun competition! It would be a dream to be chosen but either way I’m pumped to see the entries!

I entered my shutter island–couldn’t decide, but thought this included some of the various weeks contests–repurposing, paint. Hopefully, I entered it–keeps saying no link back even though there is :). Thanks, what fun!

  8. This has been one of my favorite contests each year, I love watching all of the projects each week. Thanks for putting this together!

  9. Such a fun contest! Congrats on all of your hard work. What a group of blog stars and partners you’ve acquired!

  10. Thank you so much for this Jess & Monica! I have been so excited waiting for this! I’m so excited to see all of the creativity ahead 🙂

  11. […] Before we get started let’s see the befores shall we? Before: After: The first day after applying the milk paint I was so excited, it all went on so well the paint looked awesome. The next morning I happily got to work, mixed my paint and waited and mixed again and started painting. After it dried I came back to paint again, OH NO! There was massive amounts of crackling all over the vanity. My heart dropped into my stomach and I wanted to cry. This is not what I had planned, not at all. Then I remembered what Allison said over at The Golden Sycamore. I sat down on the floor and just told myself: “this is why it’s ok, it’s going to teach me to let go. I can deal with this, it’s not what I had planned but I can make it work”. I had to remind myself of these things many times. As I sat there trying to figure out what to do; I remembered I had, had the space heater in the bathroom with me and after checking the FAQs on Miss Mustard Seed’s website I figured that must have been what went wrong. Upon further investigation of the FAQs I saw that I could use water based polyurethane to prevent any more chipping. YES! I wasn’t going to have to scrap it! From then on it was smooth sailing. I used my trusty paint pen to paint up the hardware like I showed you last week, I was going to get new hardware anyways so I figured why not give it a shot. It didn’t turn out well on the escutcheons, so later when it warms up I will flip them over and spray paint them. Oh and Bertrand we can’t forget him, he finally has a home. Don’t you just love him? The light fixture used to have dated glass shades so I removed them and replaced them with these lovely linen shades I had from Ballard Designs. After spending far too many hours to count searching for the perfect bathroom wall shelf my parents gave me this gorgeous one few years ago for Christmas. Last week was my little man’s birthday, I didn’t know what to get him so I made him this quote from Doctor Who on Pic Monkey: “Babe, babe, sugar, sweetheart”. We LOVE Doctor Who and this is one of our favorite lines which we say to each other all the time. I say we love Doctor Who in just about every other post.   I am in love with the matelasse shower curtain; it’s made in Portugal of 100% cotton. And of course my pseudo gallery wall, I am not sure what I am going to put in them…I think it may be different than photos I’ve thought about it and I’m not sure I want people’s faces staring at me when I am in there. TMI? Hehe And one of my favorite pieces from a trip to Florida: this agate nightlight. I love stones, it’s hereditary I can’t help it. Well my dears, if you haven’t already head over to the link party that I am co-hosting and enter your favorite posts I can’t wait to see what you have been up to! What your secret? How to you have time to do these magnificent projects. The Princess Room is a dream room. The unbelievable part is you were able to do this on a bare bones budget. Martha Stewart would be proud to show the world what people can do with a limited budget. I hope you write a book or even better have a cable show. This way you can reach millions on how to shop smart and use items from the attic. Being creative is a gift. Thank you for sharing it your imagination and creative cost saving tips.

I sent a copy of this to my brother wife. She a professional artist with a 3 year old daughter. Now shell get the upgrade from a cute room to a Princess Suites. On behalf of Adelaide who now 3 1/2. She will soon have a Princess Room.
