What is the Pippit App and is it the next big thing in social media for bloggers?

Pippit was created by Joy Cho of Oh Joy! and Naomi and Josh of Love Taza as a way for bloggers and non-bloggers to connect even further than just liking and sharing photos. You can actually see little “pips” of blog posts along with photos and videos on your app feed. But, that’s not all! When you share your photos you can link to where your friends and followers can purchase an item or find a recipe, or even include the recipe or more info right on the photo…sweet, right?!

Here are a few pics I borrowed from Oh Joy’s site to give you an idea of it’s awesomeness!

Another thing that is exciting about Pippit are the “Like”, “Want”, and “Useful” button options. When you click useful it actually stores what you clicked on in a folder so you can go back and retrieve it later on, how awesome is that!

Plus for bloggers and companies there are tools you can use on Pippit to track your engagement and click-through stats, interact with your audience more and find out what they want more of by seeing what they find useful.

Looks like a fun app and we’re excited to try it out. It will be great to see if this will be the next big and best thing in social media for bloggers since there are some other apps and sites that aren’t showing our followers as much content as they used to… Ahem-FACEBOOK!!  Grrr…

Since FB stinks bigtime- make sure you’re also following on Twitter @EC2Blog and Instagram @EastCoastCreative

While Pippit is still super new and the creators are probably still working out the kinks, we’d love for you to follow East Coast Creative if you download the app.

It would be kind of cool to be on board from the start rather than chasing behind hoping to catch up in a few months!

What do you think of Pippit?
Have you tried it yet?
Let me know what you think!
