This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Jingit, but all crafty goodness is mine!
Eric and I got new iPhones about 5 months ago- Woohoo!! Upgrade time is like Christmas isn’t it?? We got our phones and I picked up a really cheap case because I knew I shouldn’t go even 5 minutes without some kind of protection for my phone. Between DIY projects and 4 kids- it doesn’t really stand a chance unprotected!! I figured I’d get home and pick out a really cute case on etsy, but now 5 months have passed and I’ve still been sporting the ugly cheepo case.
I was feeling like I haven’t done a crafty project in a long time- we do a ton of bigger DIY projects on our TV show “Knock It Off!”, but crafty ones, not as often. So, I decided it was time to DIY my own iPhone case! Now, since I let my kids play on my phone, I knew that whatever I did had to be super durable! Right now my kids are obsessed with the Piano Tiles game (aka “white tiles”) They wanted me to try last week, so I played a round and got a high score of 57. I thought that was big stuff until I learned that 3 out of my 4 kids always score over 100 and even my 5 year old had schooled me. I am SO NOT a gamer!! Anyhow…back to the case. I wanted a simple case, but something with some fun edginess too! I decided on a plain white case and some studs. I knew that Krazy Glue would be the perfect adhesive to stand up to my Krazy kids!
Here’s My DIY Studded iPhone Case!
Making it was really simple, and just the right amount of craftiness to get it out of my system! I started with metal studs from the craft store- the ones intended to be ironed on, not the ones with the metal post on the back.
Next, I pulled out my Krazy Glue. My very first memories of Krazy Glue from when I was around middle school age and I would always glue my fingers together when working on projects! I knew from that moment on that the stuff was legit and my go-to for projects that needed a serious bond! It’s strong and dries quickly. Win-Win!
I was thrilled to learn that the same Krazy Glue I love now comes in a BIG 20g size! With the amount of projects I do, this size is much better and it’s perfect for larger scale projects. I put a dot of glue on each individual stud and placed them on the iPhone case. Once it had fully dried, I tested it out a bit and those babies aren’t going anywhere! The Krazy Glue is making sure of that!
And since I always promise to keep things real around here, I’ve gotta show you one of my attempts that was a total fail!! I was really diggin’ the idea of leather and studs together… but I didn’t have the right cutting tools I needed- a lot of my stuff makes it’s way to our show materials bins and never returns, so my cuts were atrocious and it overall just looked terrible. So, next time you have a complete FAIL on an idea, just look back at this hot mess and it will make you feel better!
Thankfully I stuck it out, tried again, and ended up with a new case that I love! Another thing I love is saving money, but I’m not a coupon clipper. I tried it a few times, cut all the coupons and then left them in the car- didn’t save a penny. Dangit! But, thanks to my now cute iPhone, I am a huge fan of Apps that save me some moolah! Have you heard about Jingit? It’s pretty cool!
Basically, with the Jingit app, you can earn cash instantly online or in person at the store. They partner with tons of great brands that I already use, and it’s pretty simple to do! I love that I don’t have to have an app for every store I use- this is one stop shopping!
I used Jingit to get a discount on my Krazy Glue for my iPhone case. I logged into the App and “checked in” at Walmart and it showed me what discounts were available.
There are some deals where you click and it plays a super quick video featuring the product- they’re really fast – kind of like a mini commercial before you get the savings. I didn’t mind it at all. So much better than clipping coupons! The other cool thing is that you can actually earn cash back in the Jingit app! It will accrue in your account! Gotta love free money!
And since I know you guys love free money as much as I do, we’re giving away a $500 WalMart Giftcard! They have tons of craft supplies and small scale tools for your next DIY project!
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Jingit but any project fails or successes are totally on me!

I’d most likely use the crazy glue to [inadvertently] glue my fingers together.
I adore the cover you made!
Hooray for simple projects to refresh our creative juices! And double hooray for Krazy glue! Love the white & gold. And that fail… thanks for sharing! Why wouldn’t color-blocked leather be amazing? Oh…oops…
I would use it for some art projects I have up my sleeve!!
I have a project involving some broken depression era glass that I foraged from my parent’s woods (used to be a dumping ground for my grandparent’s farm) that I could use some Krazy Glue on.
I recently made a wreath and hot-glued our initial onto it. In the Alabama heat, the letter fell off! I’ll try Krazy Glue and see if that works a little better!
I have about five things that my girls have broken that need some Krazy Glue to fix.
The bigger question is what wouldn’t I use it for?? 🙂 I have some cute little projects to do (like this cell phone case), as well as some heavier projects.
Krazy Glue is probably the best invention there is!
I’ll be getting a new phone soon, and I’d love to try out the studded phone case!

I’ve got some picture frames that need some help stickin together….
I have a 3 yr old- enough said!
Not sure exactly what I’d use it for, but with Kid’s Sunday School crafts, card making, wreath making, etc. I’m sure I’d find a good use for it. By the way, I love your show, “Knock It Off”! One of my very favorite TV shows.
I have a broken piggy bank that a 5 year old is devastated over. I would definitely use it for that!
Lots of crafting projects!
I am downloading that app ASAP!
I would use the new Krazy Glue to add studs to a wooden box and tray. Lately, I have fallen in love with metallic accents on wooden home accessories.
It’s nice to have a glue collection 🙂 I’m a diy-er for sure.
Any little thing my daughter breaks. She lives little glad figurines but she also loves to play with them
I love this! I think I might use the glue to steal this idea!
With a 18 month old, I always have something to glue back together! 🙂
I would use it to glue back together the little toddler fork and spoon that always keep coming apart!
You have given me some good ideas of projects to use the glue. Thanks.
Something inevitably breaks daily in our home….I need a 5 gal. Bucket of krazy glue!
Fixing my broken mugs….
I’d use it to repair my favorite pair of sunglasses that keep losing the screw!
Fixing toys that my 3-year-old son and/or rescued puppy break (it happens more than you think)! Thanks so much for the chance to win (and Happy — early — Mother’s Day to you both)!
Oh my goodness, I would fix all kinds of broken things at the house with the glue. If it would work on chewed up shoe strings that would be even better (kitten who thinks he is a puppy).
My daughter loves little figurines and knick knacks, but she’s managed to break most of them. I have a row of injured ceramic kittens, fairies and other tchotchkes that need help! Thanks!
i’d make a fancy new phone case, too!
I’d use it for my ceramics!
I’d use it for craft projects and for fixing broken things around the house.
Id use it to glue coral down to plugs for my reef fish tank.

I would use the crazy glue on a beaded chandelier project I’ll be starting soon
