It’s the holiday season, and I couldn’t be happier! With this time of year also comes the fast-growing stack of family Christmas cards and the mild anxiety attack of what to do with them all. I teamed up with my friends at Minted to ease your worries and create a simple, festive DIY that looks great and shows off all your favorite cards (because let’s be honest, we all have our favs!)
The gallery wall is literally #trending, but we wanted to give it a holiday twist by adding some rich tones and fresh greens all on these adorable mini clipboards.
Picture frames get pricy, and you only have so many magnets and fridge space, so take your cards to the wall!
You don’t have to be a floral pro to make this little fresh greens swag– we just took a few cedar branches and some winter-looking berries (see, no professional terminology required either) and tied them all together with some floral wire, and finished it off with lace ribbon.
These mini clipboards were the perfect way to display our cards and greens, and they’re also super easy to customize, especially with a few cans of spray paint!
Horizontal layout cards look awesome on surface level with some greens and other holiday decoration around them.
And now for the moment of truth… The big reveal of the Mangin Family 2016 Christmas card (I know you can barely contain your excitement lol)
I went with the New Slant Booklette card. I just love how the booklets give us enough space to give a family recap and share lots of pictures. I’d have a hard time choosing just one or two.
Every year it takes me about 100 million hours to decide what Minted design I want to use, I usually pop on a Christmas movie (this year it was The Holiday) and make an evening out of it. Minted’s website and design template is super easy to use, you’ll never want to handwrite a store-bought Christmas card again, and…now there’s no excuse not to display your Aunt Mary and Uncle Bill’s Ugly Sweater card (sorry!)
As always, I LOVE getting cards from you guys– seeing your families is one of my favorite things ever! If you have an extra card, I’d love you to send me one! Here’s where to send it:
Happy Holidays Guys!
