How’s Summer going so far guys? If you need a little inspiration on where to go, what to put in your beach bag, or what tunes to listen to, I’m Summer Road Trippin’ this week with my friend KariAnne from Thistlewood Farm. She’s also sharing some fun things she’s been doing since CWTS… KariAnne has been both a contestant and a star- last season, mentoring our winners!
Mon: Have you had any exciting features or collaborations in the past year?
KariAnne: I was featured in several different magazines including Better Homes and Gardens Christmas Ideas, Redbook, Reloved and HGTV Magazine.

Mon: Have you gone on any amazing trips? Work or Pleasure?
KariAnne: I went to New York city to cover a television commercial with Brooke Shield’s for La-z-boy. I went to Alabama with a group of bloggers to tour a house in progress for Phantom Screens. I went to Nashville to tour the HGTV Smart Home.
Mon: Wow! Those sound amazing- I’d love to see one of the HGTV homes someday!!
Mon: Got any funny memories or stories from your experience trying to survive CWTS?
KariAnne: We were trying to create faux walls so no one would know it was my house, so we built new walls on the back porch. I liked them so much, I almost kept them. 🙂
Mon: CWTS is an insane time as a contestant… building faux walls- that might take the cake as the craziest ever!!
Mon: What’s one TIP you’d give to someone considering entering CWTS in 2016?
KariAnne: Be yourself. Be authentic. Listen to your decorating voice and think outside….waaaaaaaaaay outside the box.

Mon: What’s your favorite summer food?
KariAnne: corn on the cob

Mon: What’s in your beach bag? Must Haves!
KariAnne: Glamour Magazine, any book by Kate Morton, over-sized sunglasses, and a spray mister.
Mon: What’s your summer song of 2015?
KariAnne: Sugar
Mon: Did CWTS push you to be a better blogger? more creative? take your business to the next level? give you more confidence? etc…
KariAnne: Yes. CWTS definitely pushed me outside of my comfort zone and challenged me to become a more creative blogger. One of my most popular projects on the blog, the bicycle wheel clock is one I created for CWTS.
