Today’s the beginning of a summer series featuring some of the Best DIY Bloggers out there! We’re Summer Road Trippin’ together and Catching Up with many of our Creating with the Stars Contestants from 2013 & 2014! What have they been up to after CWTS? What are their new favorite projects? I thought it was high time we all got caught up like old friends! It’ll be going on throughout the summer & you’re going to love it!
I couldn’t think of anyone better to kick off our Summer Road Trippin’ series with than our very 1st Winner-
Mon: It’s been a while since your season of CWTS- what are some of the fun opportunities or features you’ve had since the contest?
Sarah: It’s been an exciting year! I headed to New York for the Better Homes and Gardens Stylemaker Challenge and won! My striped trunk was recently featured in Redbook magazine. Also, my Tennessee rental was recently photographed and it will be in BHG early 2016!

Mon: Have you gone on any good trips? (I love traveling, so I’ve always got to ask!)
Sarah: Just our annual trip to Hilton Head Island, love that place!
{Sarah, her husband David, and their pup Annabelle}
Mon: Got any funny memories or stories from your experience trying to survive CWTS?
Sarah: During that crazy month, my eye was really bothering me – I thought for sure I had sawdust in it! I finally went to the eye doctor and found out that I had bumps inside my eyelids from allergies. Eye drops and I was good as new! I never had allergies before moving to California, unfortunately, back in Maryland, I now get them here too!
Mon: What’s one TIP you’d give to someone considering entering CWTS in 2016?
Sarah: Plan your time out and stick to a schedule – don’t wait to the last minute!
Mon: What’s your favorite summer food?
Sarah: Anything grilled – turkey burgers, veggies, kabobs.

Mon: What’s in your beach bag? Must Haves!
Sarah: A beach towel, sunscreen, hat, water, sunglasses, and definitely Burt’s Bees lip gloss!

Mon: What’s your summer song of 2015?
Sarah: Andrew McMahon Cecilia and the Satellite
Mon: How did CWTS impact you as a blogger?
Sarah: I participated in CWTS shortly after I started my blog. It really pushed my creativity. I also developed new relationships with bloggers and brands!
Sarah was our first CWTS Champion and there’s no question why…She’s so talented!
Here are a few of my favorite projects she’s done recently. Check them out!
