Did you hear about the big announcement yesterday? With the help of our blog stars, we picked our top 12 CWTS contestants! The talent and creative ideas from this year’s Creating with the Stars link up was amazing, though I’m sure you already know this from the amount of comments, tweets, and messages on Facebook we’ve seen! We’re just so grateful for the response from YOU, our readers and other bloggers, to this incredible design competition. We really couldn’t do it without you and to show our appreciation we thought we would share a few of our favorites from the link up.
Entry #7: Modern Farmhouse Bathroom Makeover
This gorgeous and rustic farmhouse bathroom makeover comes from Taryn at Design, Dining & Diapers, cute bathroom and blog name! We just can’t get over the incredible upgrade she gave her bland bathroom. The concrete counter top is one of my favorite pieces, and I love the way she tied in all of the decor items. Take a look at her blog to see the before and after pictures for the full transformation, and to see a closer look at the plank wall, you know we can’t get enough of a plank wall design!

Entry #27: “I Heart You” 3D Alphabet Art
Do I really need to tell you how amazingly adorable this entry from Vanessa at Tried & True blog is?! It’s the perfect DIY project if you have little ones and are looking for a way to help them learn the alphabet with fun decor for their room. Stop by Vanessa’s blog to learn where you can purchase these letters and how she put together her 3D alphabet art.

Entry #42: Industrial Pipe Built-Ins
We love that the industrial look is still trending, especially since we made floating shelves on an episode of Knock it Off using pipes and reclaimed wood. Which is why we are impressed with these industrial pipe built-ins from Primitive & Proper, the placement of them under their window sill and next to the fireplace is genius, have you ever seen a better shelf idea?!

Entry #48: Geometric Style Painted Concrete Floor
How much fun is this geometric painted concrete floor? Amber and Nick from Wills Casa created a parallelogram shape on the computer then cut it out on a piece of cardboard to start tracing the shape onto the floor. Amber has a great step by step tutorial on her blog if you are considering painting a concrete floor in your home, it’s a wonderful way to knock off an expensive tile design you’ve had your eye on!

Entry #57: Laundry Room Reno with Painted Vinyl Floors
Laundry room makeovers are really popular on Pinterest, my Home Depot guest post with the craft crate built-ins over the washer and dryer was a fan fav! So, from painted concrete floors to painted vinyl floors by Tasha at Designer Trapped, we just can’t get enough of what you guys are doing to your laundry rooms as well. This room redo is a must see, the before was too dark and wasn’t a room anyone would want to fluff and fold in (except maybe me, because I don’t do laundry!)

Entry #63: Vintage Inspired Chalk Cloth Map
What we really love and enjoy about Creating with the Stars is getting the chance to see so many different creative ideas and seeing bloggers take a chance on DIY’ing something they saw. Like Erin from Elizabeth Joan Designs who created this beautiful vintage inspired chalk cloth map inspired by one she saw on Etsy. Of course being a girl from MA this Bay State art has a special place in my heart! Love it! Map DIYs are really popular, we’ve created a few ourselves; one on plywood and a really cool treasure map wall mural .

Entry #70: Hand Sconce
So, where do I begin? First, we are big fans when you can knock off a $600 design for $50, score! Second, we love out of the box designs, especially when it comes to lighting…have you seen my DIY modern pendant light? Christine over at Let’s Get Crafty may not have her husband or friends on board with this quirky hand sconce, but we love it! We’ve got your back girl!

Entry #76: Plywood-Strip Desk
Would you believe it if I told you this stunning plywood desk was put together piece by piece?! Holy dedication!! The tutorial from Sarah over on Sarah’s Big Idea is a must see, this desk is truly one of a kind, which is why we had to share it with you. If you don’t know Sarah, I suggest you start following her to see what other amazing ideas she has up her sleeve!
